New Balcony Construction & Waterproof Coating

This project involved the construction and finishing of newly built exterior concrete balconies for a multi-storey residential building along Hastings Street. The scope focused on delivering durable, properly sloped balcony surfaces designed for long-term performance, water protection, and daily residential use.

Work was carried out on freshly poured concrete slabs, with careful attention to surface preparation to ensure optimal adhesion and uniformity. Each balcony was formed and finished to promote effective drainage away from the building envelope, reducing the risk of water pooling or intrusion.

A high-performance waterproof coating system was then applied to all balcony surfaces, creating a seamless, protective layer. This system provides excellent resistance to moisture, UV exposure, and freeze–thaw cycles while offering a clean, modern finish that enhances the overall exterior appearance of the building.

The completed balconies meet modern construction standards and provide residents with safe, durable, and low-maintenance outdoor spaces built to perform under Vancouver’s demanding climate conditions.
