Concrete Surface Preparation & Slab Refinement – Sechelt, BC

This project involved professional concrete surface preparation and slab refinement for a new building in Sechelt, BC. The work focused on correcting surface irregularities, construction joints, and minor cracking to create a clean, uniform concrete floor ready for final finishes.

The concrete slab was mechanically prepared to remove laitance, trowel marks, and high spots left from the original pour. Control joints and cold joints were clearly defined and refined, while surface imperfections and uneven transitions were carefully blended to improve flatness and consistency across the floor.

Crack control and joint detailing were addressed to stabilize the slab and reduce future movement or surface telegraphing. The final surface presents a smooth, even texture suitable for coatings, sealers, flooring systems, or polished concrete applications, depending on the project’s next phase.

This process ensures proper adhesion, improved durability, and long-term performance of the concrete floor while maintaining structural integrity and construction tolerances.
