Traffic Deck Coating & Restoration System
For the Campbell River multi-level parkade, our team completed a full traffic deck waterproofing and resurfacing system designed to extend the life of the concrete slab, improve safety, and protect the structure from water, salt, vehicle fluids, and day-to-day wear.
This large-scale project included restoring heavily worn areas, resurfacing drive lanes, and applying a high-performance, slip-resistant coating throughout the parkade.
Scope of Work Included:
Extensive surface preparation, including grinding, shot-blasting, and removal of failing coatings
Concrete repairs, crack treatment, and leveling of damaged substrate areas
Installation of a multi-layer traffic deck waterproofing membrane engineered for vehicle traffic
Application of a durable topcoat to provide long-term protection against moisture, abrasion, salt, and de-icing chemicals
Integration of a textured, slip-resistant finish for added safety on ramps, turns, and parking zones
Work completed with proper staging to minimize disruption while maintaining building operation
System Features & Benefits:
Enhanced waterproofing to protect the structural concrete from corrosion
Slip-resistant surface designed for high-traffic parking environments
Resists vehicle fluids, salt, and freeze–thaw exposure
Extends the service life of the entire parkade
Bright, clean appearance improving visibility and user experience
This renewal project successfully transformed the parkade into a safer, cleaner, and more durable parking environment, providing long-term structural protection for the City of Campbell River.
