Parkade Floor Restoration & Coating

This project at Comox Hospital involved a full concrete floor restoration and protective coating system applied to multiple levels of the hospital parkade. The existing surface showed significant wear, moisture intrusion, and uneven finishes typical of high-traffic medical facilities. Our team began by mechanically preparing the concrete to remove old coatings, contaminants, and weak surface material, ensuring proper adhesion for the new system.

Once the surface was properly profiled, repairs were completed where needed to address cracks, low spots, and surface inconsistencies. A high-performance coating was then applied to create a smooth, durable, and easy-to-maintain finish. The new surface improves traction, enhances light reflectivity, and provides long-term protection against moisture, chemicals, and vehicle traffic.

All work was carefully coordinated to minimize disruption to hospital operations, with safety barriers and controlled access maintained throughout the process. The final result is a clean, uniform, and professional parkade surface that meets the functional demands of a busy healthcare environment while extending the lifespan of the concrete substrate.
