Concrete Joint Filler Installation

This project was completed at a newly constructed building in Kelowna, focusing on professional concrete joint filler installation across large interior slab areas. The scope of work was designed to protect the concrete floor system, improve long-term durability, and ensure safe performance in a high-traffic commercial environment.

Following slab placement and curing, all control joints and expansion joints were carefully cleaned and prepared to remove dust, debris, and laitance. Proper surface preparation was critical to ensure strong adhesion and long-lasting performance of the joint filler material. A high-performance, semi-rigid joint filler was then precisely installed to fully bond within each joint while allowing for natural slab movement.

This joint filler system helps prevent joint edge breakdown, reduces dusting, and protects the concrete from impact damage caused by equipment, foot traffic, and material handling. The finished result delivers a smooth, uniform surface that enhances floor longevity while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
